Photo: Justin Van SoestBROOKLYN, NY.- On Saturday, December 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Brooklyn Museum, acclaimed activist and writer Gloria Steinem will moderate a panel discussion on the fight against sex trafficking throughout the world. Joining her will be Taina Bien-Aime, Executive Director of Equality Now; Dorchen Leidholdt, Director of the Center for Battered Women's Legal Services at Sanctuary for Families; Rachel Lloyd, Executive Director of GEMS; and other guests dedicated to ending human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and violence against women and children.
Sex trafficking is the systematic and organized transport of women and children for the purpose of sex for profit. Whether domestic or international, sex trafficking subjects women and children to grave abuse, slavery, and exploitation.
