It's exciting and rewarding to hear that more women are putting pen to paper to immortalize their experiences as ex-pats, or children of ex-pats. One such email arrived a couple of days ago, and immediately after, you will find links for more information about Joyce.
Dear Aimee,
It was wonderful to discover your blog. You are doing a great service for all the Egyptian Jewish women in diaspora! I wanted to let you know about my new book, which is coming out in a few weeks from The Feminist Press. It tells the stories of my parents, Nelly and Felix Zonana, who emigrated from Egypt in 1951, as well as the stories of their parents, Rose Beyda, Vita Zonana, Allegra Setton, and Selim Chalom. And then there's my story, growing up as a first generation American. I've included a link to my web page below. Let me know if there's any other information I can offer you! Best,
Joyce Zonana
