New York City will serve as the host city for the historic, first-ever, “International Women Leaders Global Security Summit,” November 15-17, 2007. The international conference will feature current and former women heads of state and government and over 70 high-level women leaders representing more than 40 nations who will tackle the world’s most pressing security issues.

ed: this summit should have made headlines; and I read headlines every single day, from an untold number of sources. And it was no where to be found. Where did I find out about it? In the French Press....My "bible", the New York Times, had nothing about the summit - and I even searched the archives. Shame on us..This makes it even more urgent that we get a woman at the helm in this country.
